How to install and uninstall the Eclipse IDE

In this article, we will discuss the installation and uninstallation processes of the Eclipse IDE on a window machine.

Installing Eclipse IDE

• Navigate to https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/
• Click on the download option

• Again click on the download option

• Wait for some time, your file will be downloaded soon
• Move to the download option.
• Click on Eclipse file

• Click on the second option i.e "Eclipse IDE for enterprise java and web developers"

• Check the location and click on "install' option, wait for some time till installation is in process

• Accept the term and condition and click on accept now

• Click on launch

• Select workspace location and click on "Launch" option

• Create the project and start creating your automation script

Uninstalling Eclipse IDE

Eclipse does not come with an uninstaller for Windows. You can also not delete/uninstall from the control panel of your system. You have to uninstall the Eclipse manually. To understand the process, you can watch the attached video

• Search with Eclipse then right-click on eclipse

• Click on the open file location
• Delete the Eclipse file
• Delete the Eclipse folder also

• Navigate to c drive >users > yourusername>
• Delete .p2 folder, eclipse folder, eclipse workspace folder, .eclipse folder

• Delete the shortcut from the desktop if any
• Your Eclipse IDE is completed uninstalled from your system
