What is Sanity Testing? (Software Testing Interview Question #10)

 What is Sanity Testing?

Sanity testing:

  • Sanity Testing is generally performed on Stable Builds
  • it is done during the release phase.
  • it is used to ensure that the code changes made are working properly without any bugs.
  • it is used to check for the main functionality of the application.
  • it is performed by tester only.
  • it is a part of regression testing.
  • it is planned when there is no enough time to do the full testing.
  • if sanity testing is failed then build will also reject.
